Elder Abuse Response helpline to launch in Northern Ireland
Are you experiencing harm, abuse or neglect?
Are you worried someone else might be at risk of elder abuse, but you’re unsure of what to do?
The soon-to-launch Northern Ireland Elder Abuse Response helpline can offer the help you need.
Although AEA’s well-established UK-wide Elder Abuse Response helpline has been in operation for almost 20 years, there was a real need for a dedicated Northern Ireland service. With this in mind, Elder Abuse Response will soon launch a nation-specific line for those residing in Northern Ireland, staffed by a team of volunteers and staff who are based in the country. The number is still the same – 080 8808 8141 – but callers will now have the option to speak to an operator in Northern Ireland and receive tailored and high quality information, advice and emotional support.
Help just a phone call away. Call 080 8808 8141 to receive free, confidential and impartial advice and support on:
• financial harm or exploitation
• physical abuse
• emotional or psychological abuse
• sexual harm or abuse
All older people deserve dignity, respect and support. Let’s end elder abuse together.
