The conference 'Vulnerability, Risk and Empowerment' was held in September 2008 in Edinburgh, attended by 125 people.


Presentations (all Powerpoint) were:

Daniel Blake, who spoke on the Prevalence Study into elder abuse within community settings;

Fiona Johnson, who spoke on the Scottish research into adult protection arrangements;

Marcia Ramsay, who spoke on the role of the Scottish Care Commission and Adult Protection;

Marilyn Mornington, who spoke on domestic violence and elder abuse;

Robin Van den Hende, who spoke on issues associated with Learning Disabilities;

Gary FitzGerald, who gave an overview of the UK situation and some key issues.
