The conference 'Vulnerability, Risk and Empowerment' was held in September 2008 in Edinburgh, attended by 125 people.
Daniel Blake, who spoke on the Prevalence Study into elder abuse within community settings; Fiona Johnson, who spoke on the Scottish research into adult protection arrangements; Marcia Ramsay, who spoke on the role of the Scottish Care Commission and Adult Protection; Marilyn Mornington, who spoke on domestic violence and elder abuse; Robin Van den Hende, who spoke on issues associated with Learning Disabilities; Gary FitzGerald, who gave an overview of the UK situation and some key issues.
